Estimate filament, electricity, hands-on labour and failed-print allowance for an FDM part.
Method
Material uses slicer weight as a share of spool cost. Energy = hours × kW × tariff. Failure allowance divides subtotal by success rate.
A 100 g part from a €25/kg spool uses €2.50 of filament before electricity and labour.
Use responsibly
Machine depreciation, maintenance, packaging, tax and profit are excluded. Use measured power for more accurate energy cost.
