Browser-based tools

Tools marked as private or local process their files or text within your browser. This includes the whiteboard; image compressor, converter, resizer and cropper; PDF tools; QR generator; word counter; JSON formatter; business-days calculator; and other tools carrying a local-processing notice. They do not upload calculation inputs, board contents or file contents to our server.

Whiteboard storage

The whiteboard works without an account or server-side document store. If you choose to enable local autosave, the editable board—including its text, drawings and embedded images—is stored in IndexedDB inside the browser profile you are using. Turning autosave off removes that locally saved copy. Clearing site data, using a private-browsing session, resetting the profile or changing browser or device may also remove it. A downloaded JSON backup is the appropriate way to retain or move an important board.

Whiteboard content, filenames, images, selection history and backup data are not sent to our first-party analytics. PNG, SVG and JSON exports are generated locally by the browser.

First-party usage measurement

We record a small set of aggregate events on our own server: page viewed, tool started, tool completed, result copied or downloaded, guide-to-tool link opened, official source link opened and anonymous roadmap feature voted for. An event can include the page path, tool, source or feature slug and referring website hostname. It never includes calculation inputs, file names, file contents, pasted text, email addresses or full referring URLs.

This measurement does not use cookies, browser storage, session replay, fingerprinting, a persistent visitor identifier or a third-party analytics service. We use it to find broken or useful tools and decide what to improve next, not to build advertising profiles. Aggregate event logs are automatically rotated and retained for no more than 30 days.

Technical logs

Like most web servers, our hosting infrastructure may temporarily log an IP address, requested path, user agent and response status for security and reliability. These operational logs are separate from the aggregate tool-event log and are not used to build advertising profiles.

Advertising

The site does not currently run advertising technology. Before ads are introduced, this policy and the consent controls will be updated for the providers and regions involved.
