How this tool works
Percentage of = rate ÷ 100 × value. Change = (new − original) ÷ |original| × 100. Difference uses the average magnitude as its denominator.
Worked example
20% of 80 is 16. A move from 50 to 60 is a 20% increase.

Use responsibly
Percentage change is undefined when the original value is zero. Percentage points and percentage change are not the same.
